Medical education that promotes open dialogue: creating lasting friendships as the foundation of a strong professional network.

Four week elective

In four weeks we will analyze the connections between determinants of health and diet related illness; evaluate personal nutrition and exercise activities in comparison with CDC guidelines; develop effective communication and patient education strategies for lifestyle modification; expand upon basic culinary skills and techniques; apply mindfulness techniques to manage stress and mitigate burnout; and define evidenced-based diets.
